The Coppa Italia quarter-finals will see Atalanta BC face Bologna at the Gewiss Stadium, marking the first-ever cup encounter between the two teams.

Atalanta made light work of Cesena in the round of 16, winning 6-1 with goals from Davide Zappacosta, Charles De Ketelaere (two), Lazar Samardzic, Marco Brescianini, and a late strike from Joseph Ceesay. This is their fifth consecutive quarter-final appearance, having reached two finals in the last four years but falling to Juventus on both occasions.
However, Atalanta face a tough test against Bologna, who have had the upper hand recently, with three wins and a draw from their last four meetings in Serie A. Atalanta come into this clash after a 1-1 draw with Torino, leaving them third in the league, while Bologna are in solid form, unbeaten in seven games across all competitions, including a 2-0 win over Como.
Bologna, currently sixth in Serie A, aim to reach their first semi-final since 1998-99, and they’ve reached the quarter-finals in back-to-back seasons, having beaten Monza 4-0 in their last match.
