Tottenham Hotspur are at risk of five straight Premier League defeats as they travel to Brentford for a London derby.

Around 18 months ago, Ange Postecoglou made history by leading Tottenham to 26 points from his first 30 Premier League games, sparking hopes of a bright future. However, after a shocking 2-1 defeat to Leicester, Spurs are now in a relegation battle, sitting 15th, just 8 points above the drop zone. With no wins in 2025 and just one in their last 11 league games, Postecoglou could face a fifth consecutive loss, a feat not seen since 1994.
Despite growing frustration with chairman Daniel Levy and doubts over Postecoglou's future, he's not expected to be sacked immediately. Spurs were rescued in midweek by academy players Mikey Moore, Dane Scarlett, and Damola Ajayi, who helped secure a 3-0 Europa League win over Elfsborg.
Brentford, meanwhile, are also struggling but picked up a much-needed 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, thanks to a retaken penalty by Bryan Mbeumo and a header from Kevin Schade. Sitting 11th in the league, they’ve struggled at home, failing to win in their last five matches at the Gtech Community Stadium. Tottenham, having beaten them 3-1 earlier this season, could complete their first-ever league double over the Bees.
