Flamengo is set to advance to their fourth consecutive Copa do Brasil semi-final as they prepare to face Bahia at the Maracanã.

In late August, Flamengo showed efficiency in Bahia by scoring on their only attempt and securing a win. This marks their second consecutive season leading after the first leg of a Copa do Brasil quarter-final, and they have never been eliminated from this stage when winning the opener.

Defensively, Flamengo has been formidable in the tournament, allowing just one goal in five matches. They are unbeaten in their last six games at the Maracanã, with five wins. Since early 2021, they have lost only once at home in the Copa do Brasil, to São Paulo in the 2023 final.

Flamengo has won nine straight matches against Bahia and is unbeaten in their last ten home encounters with them. Bahia, having lost their first Copa do Brasil match this year, are at risk of exiting at the quarter-final stage for the second consecutive year, following a penalty defeat to Grêmio last season.

Rogerio Ceni’s side is winless in their last three competitive games, failing to score in two of those. Historically, Bahia has never advanced from a two-leg tie after losing the first leg. Their recent away record includes only one win in their last five matches, and they haven't beaten Flamengo at the Maracanã since a 3-1 victory in 2011.
